Dukens Sanon

Captain Dukens Sanon is a distinguished law enforcement executive with more than 20 years of experience in military service, tactical operations, criminal investigations, and executive security. His career is defined by leadership, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to protecting the public.

Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Captain Sanon immigrated to the United States in 1994 and later earned a bachelor’s degree in criminology. He enlisted in the Army National Guard in 2002 and honorably served his country, including an 18-month combat deployment to Afghanistan.

Since joining the North Miami Beach Police Department in 2007, Captain Sanon has held numerous leadership positions. He served as Team Leader and Commander of the department's Special Response Team (SWAT), overseeing high-risk tactical operations, critical incident response, hostage situations, and specialized law enforcement missions. He also supervised the Street Crimes Unit and helped establish the department's Social Media Unit before rising through the ranks to become Captain of Police.
