Gerard served for over a decade as a Special Deputy Marshal in West Monroe, Louisiana, deploying as a first responder to numerous disaster operations across the United States. He later served as Director of Security for a major South Florida beverage company, where he developed and managed a comprehensive security department and implemented security protocols that complied with Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards.

An accomplished business owner, Gerard has successfully founded and operated private investigation agencies in Miami, Florida, and Long Island, New York, providing investigative and security services to corporations, law firms, and private clients.

As Planning Manager for BlackShield Risk Management, Gerard oversees security planning, executive protection operations, asset protection strategies, risk assessments, and operational logistics.
