Juan Pinillos

Chief Juan Pinillos is a highly respected law enforcement executive with more than 25 years of military and policing experience. A Miami native, he began his career serving in the United States Army as an Infantryman, completing multiple deployments before transitioning into law enforcement in 2000.

Throughout his distinguished career, Chief Pinillos has served in numerous leadership roles, including Narcotics Detective, Patrol Supervisor, K-9 Supervisor, Special Response Team Leader, Investigations Commander, Emergency Manager, and Incident Commander. As Chief of Police for the North Miami Beach Police Department, he leads a full-service agency dedicated to public safety, community engagement, and professional excellence.

Chief Pinillos holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Management and is a graduate of the prestigious Southern Police Institute, the FBI Trilogy Course, and the FBI Florida Executive Development Seminar. His expertise includes executive leadership, emergency management, crisis response, criminal investigations, tactical operations, and organizational development.
